hello, lovely

Sorry about the lack of updates, everyone.
It’s been crazy busy at work trying to get stuff done and get used to doing my job, while helping K with her new job. It’s been kind of crazy because I didn’t really get to sit and train her like Bossman#1 wanted, because I was taking care of Bossman#2’s stuff while J was getting stuff done for HIS new position.

So I pretty much just tossed her in without being able to sit down with her and show her stuff.

I had time to type up a cheat-sheet for the system we use to look stuff up in, and she’s had a lot of practice with that for the AEs, so she’s getting used to that. But all the other stuff… well, it might take a little while. We’ll see.

PANDORA!! I found it a while ago, and just re-discovered it from another blog. Pandora is awesome.. I wonder if it works at work. I’ll have to try it. But you pick an artist or song or something, and it plays the song or a song by the artist, then goes about finding other songs/bands you might like based on that first song and tones and inflections and sounds and other stuff. It’s pretty cool.

Apparently, Pandora thinks I should listen to Train and BBMak. I’ve never been a big fan of Train.. maybe it was the overplaying of Meet Virginia or something, but I already found one song I might have to download.. When I Look in the Sky. I really like that song.And I’ve always had a softness for BBMak, thanks to my sister and her boyband phase. And I might have to check out The Stereo. I’m sure there will be more that I’ll have to check out. *lol*

I’m going shopping for new clothes today. I’m so excited. Since I got my surprise paycheck last week, and I just got paid yesterday (and my tax return showing up in a week or two!), even after rent has been paid, I have quite a nice chunk of cash. The pants I wore the other day lost their button, while I was at work. Talk about embarrassing. Thankfully it happened when I was in the restroom, unbottoning my pants to go. The button just fell off in my hand, along w/ the thread that held it there, so there’s a hole where a button should be. I only have 2 pairs of pants that I can really wear at work, excluding the jeans I can wear on Fridays, so it’s time to get new ones. Maybe another skirt or something.. and I definitely need shirts. I have a coupon for Lane Bryant, and I think I’d like to see what they have at Old Navy. I also need some shoes (dressy brown ones, specifically).

I think Jenny and I are going to go later today. So that’ll be fun.

OH! I also have to make copies of my apt key. I locked myself out of the apt night before last (left my keys up at work. lol. Oops), and if I want to get in next time I do that (thankfully, I’ve only done it twice.), someone nearby needs to have a key that isn’t the office who wants to charge me a ton of money to UNLOCK A DOOR! I understand it’s after hours and all that, but it’s like $25-$35 or something like that. Not even for an hr of work, cuz the guy lives in the complex!!! Oh well.
