An Unfinished Life

So I finally got some laundry done, and decided to watch my last Netflix movie of the weekend: An Unfinished Life.

It was one that I’d put in my queue & didn’t realize I had so close to the top (you know how the new releases go pretty fast). I read the description on the disc envelope, and was kinda like “I don’t really think I’m in the mood to see anything like this.” but it was a really great movie.

No special effects, just a great story, beautiful scenery If you get the chance to see it, I highly recommend it. It’s probably one of the best movies I’ve seen in a really long time (there’s so much crap out there), and everyone in the movie (Robert Redford, Morgan Freeman, Jennifer Lopez, and the girl who played her daughter) really show off their talent. Yes, even Jennifer Lopez… I know she has her faults, but some of her movies are pretty good.

This morning, Joe offered me the choice between four different places where we can take our sorta-vacation. We’re only going to have a couple of days there, but I get to pick between Disneyland, Universal Studios, Yosemite National Park, or Yellowstone National Park.

I was kinda leaning towards the national parks… it’s not every day I get to see the beautiful country we live in, and I think I’d get more out of the vacation than going to DisneyLand or Universal Studios and having a craptastic time of Joe trying to get me on rides I don’t want to go on (except the spinny teacups. I really want to ride in the spinny teacups. lol). He’s wanted to take me to Yosemite for a while, but after seeing the movie, I think I’m kinda leaning towards Yellowstone. *lol* :) We’ll see though. He was going to think about it today, and if I get to talk to him tonight, we’ll probably discuss it then.

Yay for vacations. :D I love how whenever we’re together, we always manage to somehow pull a fantastic trip out of our asses. *lol* (haha. isn’t that a lovely mental picture??) I’m kinda sad that it’s not really going to be the case anymore, since we’ll be.. you know.. LIVING together. But I hope we’ll always be able to kinda decide “hey, let’s go here this weekend.” and go see a spiffy place. I’ve gotten sort of spoiled. hehe

Since he is so special to you, all of your trips together will be extremely special and spectacular. Vic and I will celebrate our 6 year annv in June and we have not had a single trip that wasn’t spectacular in its own way. That is a great benefit of a love love relationship =P
