Bandwidth Issues

FYI - my site was down yesterday because bandwidth was exceeded. I’m having bandwidth issues since last month. I’m not sure if it’s spammers or what. I have a LOT (like, 20,000-30,000 hits) of 404 errors to some old Moveable Type cgi things. I don’t know how to make it so people don’t try to access it… especially since it’s coming from a spammy site. I’ve been blocking IP addresses like crazy, and it doesn’t seem to be helping.

If anyone has any tips on blocking bandwidth thieves, I’d appreciate the help.

I’m not using MT anymore, but I was getting spammed like crazy through that and now through pixelpost. I don’t know how to avoid it; I contacted my hosting company, who pretty much told me I’m on my own because there’s nothing they can do. So if you find out any information, please let me know!
