So… I’m in charge of bringing Dessert to Christmas dinner at my parent’s, but I have NO idea what to bring.
Dessert? Is my favorite part of the meal. *lol*
If I end up making something or buying, I need to get the needed ingredients or item by Sunday at the latest, but preferrably before then… preferrably before the weekend. *shudders at the grocery store weekend-before-Christmas Rush* [My goal this week is to stay away from anything resembling a store, with the exception of the coffeeshop where I meet my knitterpals on Wednesday.] I also refuse to be one of THOSE people who go to the store on Christmas Day during the few hours they’re open (I remember the good old days…..when they were closed on Christmas, instead of open with “volunteer” staff. For all I know, it might not even be “volunteer” anymore.)…. I had to run in on Thanksgiving, and I felt like a giant ass.
So, basically, the point of this is… dear readers… to help me figure out what I”m taking to my mom’s on Christmas, besides presents. *lol*
I don’t even remember what we did at my grandparent’s house…. a pie or something of some sort, I think, but all I really remember is the candy {mmm. fudge. mmm.. cornflake candy. mmm..rocky road candy. mmm…all the other stuff. LOL}. I thought about taking Christmas Cookies, because I haven’t made any at all this year, but that wouldn’t be like…….. DESSERT. *lol*
What do you guys do for Christmas Dessert?

Mom is serving French Silk Pie and Key Lime Pie, a coconut cake, and peanut butter fudge. This allows us to hit the variety table and choose our own fate. I have a ton of recipes for just about everything from Cranberry Orange Bundt cake (which was a huge hit last year) on up so let me know if you need recipes for anything.
