Okay, so the whole time I’ve been in CA is a long weekend, but yeah. LOL :)

Friday, we ended up going out for dinner because Joe was exhausted after working way more than he expected. We ended up going to Carrow’s, which is normally a pretty good restaurant, but I wasn’t impressed this time. I think I’ll stick with them for breakfast instead of real food. LOL :) On our way home, we checked the mail, and I had my 3rd piece of real mail at the new apt! :) The first was a card from Teresa, and the 2nd was an invite to Lizzy’s bday party! :)

This package held lots of goodness. An invite to Pie’s wedding, two cds (NOW WITH 100% MORE PLAYLISTS!! *lol*), which I haven’t had a chance to listen to yet (the new Fall Out Boy & the new The Academy Is…!!), a really cool pen & a purple calculator, and a cute little note! :)

I love mail. :)

Saturday was pretty much a lazy day. We really didn’t do anything, including getting dressed, until about 3pm. I love PJ days. LOL :) We were waiting for our couch and knew we weren’t going to be getting it until the 4pm-8pm window, so why bother doing anything? Joe played some video game, and I watched and knit. We live very exciting lives, seriously. You know you’re jealous. :) hehe

Sunday, we ended up going to see Pirates 3. It wasn’t bad, but I was hoping it would have been a lot better, so I was kind of disappointed. Another instance where the 1st is still the best. :) And I love Johnny Depp, so.. that’s cool. :)

By the way, the movie theater out here is insane. Matinee price is $8, and normally most places I’ve ever lived consider matinee to be until at least 5 or 6pm… no, here, matinee ends at 2pm. TWO PM!? lol and then it goes up to $10.50. Is that not insane??? We tried to get the 1:55 show, but the kiosk wouldn’t let me buy those tickets (the line was super long, so Joe stood in line at the box office & I stood in the shorter line at the kiosk, so we had a better chance of getting tickets! lol), so we had to see the 3:05 showing. We had time to kill, so we went to Fuddrucker’s for lunch.

After the the movie, we came home and sat on our couch. LOL :)

Monday, we didn’t do much. We ventured out to Applebee’s, and then Best Buy, and that was it. I finished a pair of socks yesterday and wore ‘em all day. They’re so pretty. :D

The place is a little more photographic now, so I may post some pics soon.

Is that matinee price just on the weekends? Because most movie theatres I’ve been to are like that — matinee prices end around 2:00pm on the weekends, but 6:00pm during the week. My movie theatre at home has gotten even more insane; they now have different prices for evening shows during the week and evening shows over the weekend. That’s why I rarely go to the movies, because even student tickets are $8+. :\
