An Update

Not much to report, but Dina posted an update, so I feel like I should, too.

I’ve been reading a lot more. I’ve been trying to read a bit before bed, and so far it’s worked. I finally finished Creation in Death by Nora Roberts/JD Robb, and I started Strangers in Death, and then I don’t know what I’ll read. I have plenty of options. Maybe I’ll catch up on the Merry Gentry or Anita Blake series.

Joe and I have decided we need a vacation. Aside from a quick weekend trip for my birthday, we haven’t really gone anywhere. I really want to go to Hawaii, but I think we’ve decided on Florida. Then again, no other plans have been made, so who knows when that’ll happen. I have to give 30 days notice at work for all vacation time, so who knows when we’ll be going. I feel a bit guilty about going somewhere other than back home, but then I figure… just because I’m traveling doesn’t mean I HAVE to go to Dallas. People can always come out here to see me if they really want to, and we’re planning on visiting in December for Christmas. Besides, where I live is a better vacation destination, so people better start visiting me. Dammit. ;)

Work is crazy. I love that I have things that take up my entire day. The day goes by so quickly now. The only instability seems to be in my Monday schedule. We’re trying a new schedule with all of the meetings that happen Mondays, and I think they’re trying to work it so I’m working a normal schedule instead of some crazy-ass schedule. It’ll be nice, but I’ll miss my sleep-in Mondays. :)

The day was so beautiful today. I really need to get out and go walking, especially now that it’ll be lighter after work thanks to the time change. My knitting group is putting together a team for the Breast Cancer 3-day that’s happening in September. We’re waiting for our team captain to get back from her vacation so we can start getting together & getting everybody signed up and start the training schedule. It should be fun, and I think it’ll be a great bonding experience with the other women.

Not much else going on, though. Joe and I are blasting our way through 24. We’re currently watching the last disc of Season 5. It’s been a pretty good season so far.

I would say Hawaii. Jay refuses to ever go to Hawaii because he thinks it’s too far away. If you can get Joe to agree to it, I’d definitely go for it =P.
