hello, lovely

So here I am at approximately 1:30am listening to everything I have in iTunes currently on shuffle (Currently: STP - Wicked Garden) and cleaning. Well, I started cleaning anyway. Until I tackled the yarn boxes to make them a bit more organized. It looks like I’m going to do a small amount of destashing. I have some things that I think my friend Teresa might like now that she’s knitting again (muhaha. I’ve rubbed off on her now that I see her almost everyday. That and she’s completed a couple projects), so I’m going to give her first dibs then either post on KP or ebay them. We’ll see.

Joe’s supposed to be calling me when his concert’s done/when he gets home, but I don’t know if he’ll actually call. He’ll promise to call, but if it’s after a time he thinks is too late, he won’t. Or he will, I’ll sleep through it, and he’ll whisper into the voicemail like he’s afraid he’s going to wake me up. LOL

I finished a Lacy Round washcloth, and I started another plain one. I’m 3 away from my 10 that I intend to send to Cloths for Katrina. I also knitted a bunch more on Misty Garden.

My hermit weekend was slightly interrupted. I found out I was out of TP (thought I still had at least 1 roll), so I had to run to the store, so I walked up to Walgreens & got TP and paper towel (out of that too, and I was out, so why not?) and a couple other things I probably didn’t really need…and a report cover thing for one of my SP6 presents.

As for movie watching, so far I have watched The OC: Season 2, disc 3 and Guess Who?. Guess Who was really cute. BTW - Bernie Mac is a leftie, so I officially like him more than I did before.

What else can I ramble about? I dunno. But I know I’m getting kinda tired. I have two more yarn boxes to go through (managed to organize one this morning and two tonight), and I found a couple circs to add to my needle binder.

I didn’t do any laundry tonight, so I have to do some of that tomorrow. I also need to finish cleaning up the living room, and then I’ll be happy. Oh, and watch the rest of my movies (A Home at the End of the World, Hostage, and Suspect Zero).

We didn’t get any rain from Rita. I’m disappointed. :/ But we got lots of wind and some clouds. Better than nothing, I guess. My friend Damian lives in Beaumont, as well as a couple people on my knitting list. I know the knitters made it out, so I hope he and his family made it out all safe and sound.

Anyway.. nightnight time.

I totally just bought my groceries online to have them delivered Saturday so I can still get groceries and accomplish my “I am not leaving my apartment!” plans for this weekend.

it’s all about randomization here at hello, lovely today.

i didn’t go to my mom’s today because i intended to go grocery shopping and do oodles of laundry and bake and clean and organize my yarn. well, i went grocery shopping. and i cleaned a few sections of the livingroom, so i can’t say i didn’t accomplish anything. i also finished a scarf tonight, and started another Christmas present tonight. i also ordered tc’s present. i had what i needed for her, but i have 4-5 projects to knit for her, even if she doesn’t know it. but i was searching around, and i found this other thing that SHE HAS TO HAVE NO MATTER WHAT. so i ordered that along with a present for my secret pal and a present for me. well, not really for me. it’s a basic sock pattern thing that i think might be good for my lorna’s laces yarn. i only have enough for 3 pairs, with about $300 worth on one of my wishlists of more colors I eventually want to get and knit for myself and other people. lol.

for those of you who are or are not aware of my upcoming birthday (october 28th, dear friends of mine!), i’ve posted wishlists on the sidebar. these are mostly for myself and for Teresa because she asked what I wanted. i don’t really want anything since Joe’s visiting, and he’s all I’ve wanted to have on a birthday since we got together, so anything else is just a bonus. the lists are also posted for curious passers-by. i love looking at other people’s wishlists.. so in case there’s another person out there like me, well, there you go.

let’s see? what else? oh, go check out Morgan Clamp. he messaged me on MySpace a few days ago, and I went to listen to his stuff. it’s pretty good. at least, i think so. you can download his songs on itunes or order his cd from his website, but it’s good stuff. i recommend it.

oh, in regards to my last post - things are good with joe. he put the phone down so i could write my email and pretty much fell asleep. his phone was on silent so he didn’t notice it when it rang. lol. oh well.

oh. also, in case you didn’t notice. new layout. this is called Red Train, and I got it from the Wordpress Theme Browser (i think it’s on alexking.org somewhere. do a google search for Wordpress Themes and it’s one of the top ones, if not the #1 result.). I lurve it. I downloaded a bunch of them from there (the last theme was there too) lately. they’re pretty neat. cuz i’m too lazy to figure out how to work the darn thing myself.

i was going to do tc’s site to, since i was in the mood not to accomplish any of the things i need to do, but the links she sent me to templates and layouts are at work. :/ cuz that’s where she emailed me & i never forarded them on. suck.

okok, that’s it. I’m going to go back to knitting and talking to Joe.

Cleaning sucks, but I’m actually accomplishing something! YArn is being organized. I’m going grocery shopping at Walmart today & I’m going to pick up another box so I can reclaim my laundry basket. LOL

Stuff is getting cleaned. It’s going to look more like an apartment and less like the aftermath of a Tornado. Yay me!

I wanna come home to a clean place next week & if I don’t do it now, it’ll never get done. On top of that, my Mary Kay Consultant is coming over to drop off the stuff I ordered & I really don’t think she wants to see my disgusting place…so, less disgusting it will become. ROFL

Also, my friend Jenny finally got a new job!! so yay.. go visit her new blog and congratulate her!

Back to cleaning! (Thank you, iTunes for keeping me from dying of silence during this difficult time.

I’ve started cleaning my apartment. FOR NO REASON!! (ie. I’m not planning on having any visitors anytime soon.)
I even cleaned off my dining table that I’ve only dined on like 3 times. lol So far that’s the only noticeable difference. I’m actually going through all the papers and trashing them if they need to be trashed instead of just keeping them to keep them. Yay cleaning! Or something.

(This is what happens to me when I don’t have Joe to talk to all day. I miss my Joe. He’s out surfing. I think I’m going to go read for a little bit. I’m almost done with Incubus Dreams, and my goal is to finish that this weekend, if I do nothing else.)

I haven’t been posting much because the only time I think of stuff to post is at work, and, well, I have a pretty strict rule against posting from work. Well, that, and I’ve been way, way, way, way too busy this week to even attempt it. After work, I end up talking to Joe most of the way home, or starting when I walk in the door, and then I don’t really get to post because I’m busy talking to him. Hmm.. I forgot that I can post to here through email though. Maybe I’ll have to start doing that & editing them when I get home.

SO yeah, that’s why I’ve been dead.
I’ll post more when he goes back to school or something. *lol*

I do have a ton to post about, even though I can’t think of a thing right now - but I know there’s a lot.

Most importantly, I’m taking a trip in the near future to see Joe! It’s an unplanned trip, but one I’m happy to be able to make. It’ll only be for a weekend, so I won’t be there too long, but it’ll be something. It was kind of a surprise because I brought it up while he was half asleep, and he thought he dreamed it until he checked his email. *rofl*

I’ve been having a craptastic movie selection from Netflix lately, which is my own fault.. but I just haven’t been happy with much of what I’ve been getting. It’s disappointing, because I’ve been excited to see the last few movies from my list, but have sent them back nearly unwatched because I was just like… I really don’t want to watch this right now. My television series rentals are the only things that have saved the day.. right now I’m on the 1st season of Charmed. I don’t know why I didn’t watch that show when it first started. Ohh, I think it was because I pretty much worked every single Sunday & missed it by the time I got home. Maybe that was it. I’m getting Million Dollar Baby, A Very Long Engagement, and Charmed, Season 1, Disc 3 this week/end, so maybe these will have some redeaming qualities. If I can get through them.

I ordered some yarn off ebay about three weeks ago and never received it.. but I found out that the buyer didn’t put my complete address on it, and they just got around to returning it to her. LOL She said she’s shipping it priority, so I should get it tomorrow or Saturday. that’s awesome. I’m very excited about this. Not that I have any idea what I’m going to do with it, but it’s pink (bubblegum) cotton ease to add to my stash of almost every other color (that I could find).

I’m knitting on a bunch of projects, for those of you who don’t read my knitting blog. Lots of washcloths, the Charlotte’s web shawl, and a couple other things for charity items. I started my Christmas knitting list, and I’ve completed one item already. I have 25 people, not including coworkers, that I want to knit for. I’ve decided that I”m just going to knit a whole bunch of washcloths in different colors, then pick out two or three for each person so I can give them as a set. They’re easy, I can get about 2 out of a ball of yarn, and they take almost NO time.

I’m getting Harry Potter on Saturday!! I’m so excited. I hope it comes with the regular mail - I got an email from Amazon.com that says to give them until 7pm before we start calling customer service. I hope I’m not one of those people who needs to wait until 7. LOL I’m planning my day around getting the mail, because I know they won’t leave it, and I really don’t want to have to sit here all day and not do anything or get anything done because they don’t show up until 7pm. I have library books to take back and a fine to pay because they didn’t renew a book i thought renewed & it’s a big mess that’s all my fault, but considering the amount of books i have out, the fine isn’t that much. LOL

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyway… I’ve rambled on far too long, but I think I’ve caught you up.
My apartment’s a mess. I suppose I could *clean* while I wait for Harry Potter to get here. eheheh

This weekend is going to be a nice relaxing weekend, if I have anything to say about it. I’m not doing a damn thing except attempting to accomplish my knitting to-do list. I have to do laundry, but I do that at a pretty leisurely pace because I’m lazy and don’t want to go down to the laundry room every 20 minutes. I also need to go to the store to get groceries + quarters for laundry, and I want to clean up the apartment a little bit.

Fun stuff, huh? Doesn’t sound too relaxed does it? Well, i Don’t have to leave my apartment for anything (except groceries).. so that’s relaxed enough for me.

Friday
Day from HELL, as are most Fridays for me. I need the weekend after Fridays. *lol* I was pretty much work-raped all day Friday. I get so abused on Fridays, and Fridays are the one day I need to have time to do stuff. It’s really frustrating, but the people who abuse me the most are getting their very own assistants very soon, so pretty soon I’ll be whining about how bored I am at work. I hope so, anyway.

Saturday
Alex’s birthday party. We took over TC & Alex’s apt complex pool. It was pretty fun. I went with Jenny & we didn’t plan on staying for the whole thing, but ended up staying the whole time. She had to pack for her trip tomorrow, and my plan was to clean the apartment for next weekend. I know I won’t get anything done during the week. So far I’ve only managed in handwashing dishes.. because my dishwasher’s being a freak. I’m either overloading it or putting too dirty dishes in it, because all the stuff on the top never gets cleaned. So I’m handwashing everything that needs to be washed & letting the dishwasher run empty a couple times. Hopefully that’ll clean it out a little. Anyway.. off on a tangent. Alex’s birthday party = Fun! I got the FUNNIEST card, which I’ll post a picture of after I upload pics the next time. *lol* Seriously.. it’s so gross.. hehehehe

Today
Cleaning & going over to mom’s for belated father’s day.

I’ve also been doing a LOT of knitting, which you can read about over at my knitting blog. I’ve been doing more knitting than anything exciting, so I’ve been posting over there more than here. Highlights? I’m almost finished with the shirt I’m knitting.. I’ve joined a lace knit-along and a baby-stuff knit-along, plus a charity project, and I have more things that I want to accomplish than.. than I don’t know what. So, go read all about it.

I might be MIA for the rest of the week. I’m getting DSL, but my apartment complex sucks, and they won’t leave my package inside my apartment, DESPITE the fact that I called them last THURSDAY and spoke to the co-manager in the morning, and she said they’d have someone put it up there. I came home that night to a note on the door (they could have someone put a note on my door, but not open it and put a box inside) saying I have to actually go up there and sign something before they will give me my package. Apparently it’s a new company policy that must have just started. After I called. Because the co-manager would know. Especially since the manager is HER HUSBAND! GRR! lol.

I know nothing about installing DSL, but Joe says there’s supposed to be some sort of filter to put on the phone line so I can use it when I have the DSL, but I don’t know. I won’t have it though, because it’s in the BOX that’s in the OFFICE! (This is why all my pkgs come to the work office now. LOL) He usually knows what he’s talking about, and he said I might not be able to use the phone/dial up because of that, or something. SOoo, if that’s true, I won’t be around.

I’ll probably think up 82374 things to blog about in that time, but I can’t get it until Saturday because of work. I work the same hours as the complex office does, so that makes things difficult. Or I could come in late one day, but I don’t like doing that. I hate being late.

So anyway, I just wanted to let you know. I can check email from work and stuff, but that’s about it.

Clean up your damn apartment so the carpet cleaners can make your carpet sparkly and new.
Or at least clean.

I wonder if they can clean up the year and a half old rubber cement stain. That would *ROCK!*
And the toner-looking stains that are spread out on my carpet.
My carpet was spotless the first 6 months or so that I lived there. Ya couldn’t tell anyone lived there.

Then Joe visits and we spill sodas and stuff all over it. And my bottle of rubber cement tips over but the lid wasn’t on tight, and I didn’t notice until too late. And then I track toner all over the place thanks to a toner spill at work and the stuff got on my shoes and stayed there! Stupid toner! *rawr*
