nothing of importance to post

still watching Constantine.
This ever-half-hour break really makes movies go a lot slower. *grin* 2 more after this, and I think I’m going to make it with a little over 4 hrs to go.

I’m knitting on one of the presents that requires a bit more than “cast on, knit first row” to start it, adn then I”ll continue Project: Cast-On.

Yum, yum, yum.

Okay, I’ve seen Gavin Rossdale for all of like, a minute in this movie (Constantine) so far. To be honest, I completely forgot he was in it … but yum. yum, yum, yum.

5 hrs to go, yall!!

So far I have 3 of like 6 projects started. Yay, yay.

My apt gets cold at night. I should probably turn off the A/C, but I have a feeling the cold will help keep me awake.

Constantine is a very interesting movie so far. It’s not going to be the best movie ever, by no stretch of the imagination, but I’m entertained.

It also appears that the wireless internet likes to disconnect & reconnect lately, so I apologize for any absence. I don’t usually know it’s out until it comes back on. :)

Project: Cast On

Project: Cast On has begun.

I’m watching the previews before Constantine starts & putting yarn projects in their own gallon-sized ziplock bags & I’m casting on for each project. Casting on & knitting the first row, because the first row is always the toughest.

17 hrs down, 7 more to go!!
C’mon, everyone! You can do it! :)

My boyfriend’s falling asleep on me now, so I’m trying to keep awake.

I have three more movies to watch, which’ll take me roughly 6 hrs. Plus I can itunes adn stuff, so I shoudl hopefully be okay. I thought about reading, but reading tends to make me sleepy if i’m not SUPER into it, so i dont know if I want to risk it.

Review: Hide and Seek

Well, that was interesting.
At first, I was kind of creeped out, but stupid me decided to start watching without the lights on. Ha! yeah, whatever.

It wasn’t good, but it wasn’t bad either. The dvd had 4 alternate endings, but I didn’t bother watching them.

Dakota Fanning is freaking awesome. I hope she doesn’t turn into a little brat when she gets older. :) Also? Brown hair on her makes her look like death. May she never go that dark again. :D

OKay, so it’s a crappy review. I don’t usually review movies. I watch ‘em and return ‘em, ok? :P

Up Next: Constantine.

Yarn of the Month Club: Yarn of the Month club!! What else can I say!? I just rediscovered/signed up after like 2 months of trying to sign up. Apparently they send you 4 different samples of yarn to knit up 4 different 4×4 swatches, so you get samples of yarn. 6.95/month to try out 4 different yarns? i’m in.

Yarndex: It’s a directory of like every yarn. It’s kinda nifty. :)

Yarnfinder.com: have a project in mind? need to find the yarn? go here! :)

Yarn Store Links

So, I was talking to June on IM, and she asked where I got all the yarn. So here are some of my favorite online shops.

Knit Picks: the yarn store version of Walmart. Cheap yarns that are decent for the price you pay. If you’re on a budget, I highly suggest this place, and if you spend at least $30, you’ll get free shipping.

Jimmy Beans Wool: This is probably one of my favorite places to order from. Flat $4 shipping. I’ve had a couple issues with things being out of stock, but they’re more than happy to accomodate you however you wish, and they personally send emails to let you know that it might be out or they’re waiting on stuff or whatever. And they always send a piece of candy with the orders! ;)

Elann. This place is awesome. I love their Peruvian Highland collection wool. And I’ve ordered some of the Peruvian Alpaca. ANd well, I love their store yarns. They also sell some other stuff like Jo Sharp & some other things I can’t think of. If you spend $500 (cumulative - not all at once), they’ll give you a $50 credit. and for every book you buy from them, you get a voucher towards yarn purchases. Canadian based, but they have an office or whatever just this side of the border as well, so shipping is not a nightmare.

Wool Needlework. This place is based in Canada, and if you don’t mind waiting for stuff, this place rules. Noro Kureyon? is only $6.59 or something like that a ball. SIX FIFTY-NINE!

Patternworks. This place is pretty cool. On some things, they have a lot more stock and colors (Lamb’s Pride), and some things, they’re stock kind of sucks. It’s sort of a crapshoot depending on what you need or like. They send out catalogs though, so if you sign up or something, you can get one. :)

The Knitting Zone. I’ve ordered from this place a few times. Nice stocks of stuff, a little on the expensive side, at least on things that I’ve noticed.. but this is yarn & patterns and stuff. I think they’ve started doing the credit thing like Elann, but I haven’t ordered from them since they started it.

Loop. I’d never heard of them before they did an advertisement thing in the Knitter’s Review newsletter a week or two ago. They had a sale going, so I checked it out, and ended up buying a bunch of stuff from them. :) Well, not a BUNCH, but the Kureyon I posted earlier & some of the Silky Wool.

Fiddlesticks Knitting Patterns - not a yarn store, but they have really awesome patterns. I want to knit like, all of them. lol.

The Woolie Ewe: My LYS, even though I’ve only been there once or twice. I’ve never successfully ordered from the website, so if you can figure it out, more power to ya.
….
more as I think of them. :)
