I have a job interview in a few hours.

ETA: I think it went well. We talked about the job, and my job history, and it turns out (in my opinion, at least) that I’m perfect for the job. I just hope they think so, too. I bought Thank You cards before I actually went to the interview, so I could send one out when I was finished, and they turned out to be in their colors, even, so I think that kind of looks good. lol. Like I paid attention to details!

ETA2: I just got a call-back for a 2nd interview on Tuesday! *happy dance*

Okay, so as you may or may not know, I’m leaving my job because I’m moving out to Cali.

My boss and I have a really cool boss-employee relationship.. one that involves many jokes and lots and lots of stalkerish 80’s songs. Basically, I love working for my boss more than I’ve loved working for any other boss ever. EVER. And I’m very sad to be leaving him, and if I could pack him up with us, and take him to CA so I could still work for him, I TOTALLY WOULD. lol

Yesterday… I went to bed at 2am and woke up about 7am wide awake, like I always only get 5 hrs of sleep. (Over the weekend, I’d go to bed at 2 and wake up at like, 10. lol) I was energized and in a generally good mood all day. I hung out with some of the most awesomest knitterly people I know last night, and I was good to go.

This morning, I think I crashed around 1, woke up at 7:45, and now I’m positively DRAGGING. It wasn’t like I partied hard last night. We sat in a Starbucks and knit on various projects. I didn’t even have coffee (blech), so it’s not like I was wired all night. I just don’t get it. *lol*

Back to our regularly scheduled workday…

It was really icy this morning, so my boss told me I could stay home. I’m checking work emails from here, but there is NOTHING going on. It looks like it’s getting better, at least for the immediate future, but I imagine it will be bad again tonight and tomorrow morning. Should make the rest of the week interesting.

So what am I doing today? So far, I’ve done one load of laundry and I have another going. I’ve started cleaning, but I realized that I don’t actually have any trash bags. I was sure that Joe and I bought some at the store last time he was here, but I can’t find them anywhere, so either I made it up and we didn’t, or… I can’t find them. *lol* so I might have to venture out later to go to the store. I’ve knitted a bit, and I’m going to be watching Charmed on DVD (thank you, Netflix).

I should have learned to drive back home in WI. hahaha. People down here can’t drive in the rain, nevermind the ice and snow, and I don’t feel comfortable being on the road with them!! So it’s a good thing I got to stay home, even though I’m only like, 2 miles away. *lol*

Well, if you have to be out in this crap, please be careful!!

Soo.. my time had to be entered last Friday for my paycheck today. I entered my time on THURSDAY, and double checked it on FRIDAY, and my time was all there.

Now? I’m 8hrs short because my time for Friday wasn’t there. So that means next paycheck is going to ROCK. Because I have about 7hrs of OT, plus the extra 8 hrs from last week, plus my normal paycheck. The only issue is that I need to finish my CHRISTMAS SHOPPING, and my CAR INSURANCE is due and the UTILITY BILL is due. This doesn’t make me completely broke, but I’m less ~100 bucks than I was expecting to have. I’ll still be okay, but it’s frustrating.

I don’t have much time to post anything - I’m trying to finish up a work project. I had until Thursday, but apparently The Boss forgot about that, and keeps asking me if it’s done yet, is it done yet? how ’bout now? how’s it coming? are you going to finish it?

Suuuuuuuuure, I could’ve worked on it Sunday. I probably should have, but hello, it’s the weekend. I’ve already gotten about 5hrs of OT on it, not counting today or the hours I’ve worked on it during the actual Work Day. *grr*

Anyway, I wanted to leave you with a picture of my lovely Christmas Tree. If you even want to call it that. It’s more tree than I’ve had the last three years, so that’s something, right?

It’s about a foot tall, and I got it at Hobby Lobby (tree + decorations) for about $6.27. *lol* I’m in love with it… the penguin garlands are for Joe and the disco balls are for me. We won’t be at the apt on Christmas except, basically, for him to sleep, but I think it’ll be fun anyway. Okay, back to work… This is taking forever.

In my office, Thursday is known as Friday Eve.  It started as a joke, but it sort of stuck.  Since we’re actually off on Friday for Dina’s Coming Back to Town Day Veteran’s Day, this makes Wednesday Thursday, and Thursday Friday.  By process of elimination (?), this makes today Friday Eve! :D  *happy dance*

I’m so in need of an extra day off, so this 3 day weekend couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m going to be hanging out with my friends for the majority of the weekend, but it should be fun. I have to do a little bit of shopping (Katy’s Birthday present. Auntie Manda is a slacker. Actually, I’m just broke. And secret pal shopping, maybe get some Christmas shopping out of the way.) Friday morning and/or afternoon and/or Saturday morning, but other than that and all the festivities, I think I’ll have a nice, relaxing Sunday.

I should make a list for all the crap I need to do! In my new Franklin Covey!  That’s sitting at home. With the rest of the thank you cards I need to write. It’s been really slow at work today. I don’t know if it’s just because the end of the month was earlier this week or if it’s just because it’s that slow time. I miss having files. It seems like I always have SOMETHING to do. I don’t get to goof off and play games or read blogs or read books or walk around and talk to everyone else like some people do, and I’m a bit jealous. *lol* I’m hoping this hard work translates into something tangible, though.

I left work about 5:10 today and I was the 2nd to last person there. I realize now that I left my desk a mess, but I don’t care. *lol*:)

Oh well. Off to watch some CSI, then Grey’s Anatomy. I need to get some knit-time in. Or maybe write up my thank you cards.
