Cleaning sucks, but I’m actually accomplishing something! YArn is being organized. I’m going grocery shopping at Walmart today & I’m going to pick up another box so I can reclaim my laundry basket. LOL
Stuff is getting cleaned. It’s going to look more like an apartment and less like the aftermath of a Tornado. Yay me!
I wanna come home to a clean place next week & if I don’t do it now, it’ll never get done. On top of that, my Mary Kay Consultant is coming over to drop off the stuff I ordered & I really don’t think she wants to see my disgusting place…so, less disgusting it will become. ROFL
Also, my friend Jenny finally got a new job!! so yay.. go visit her new blog and congratulate her!

OR: The post where I talk about my Green Day concert.
IT FREAKING RULED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were in the 2nd floor section, so we were far away, and we were on the side of the stage, but our seats were still pretty good. We got there & this guy was in one of our seats, so that sucked. We just moved down a seat & I freaked out everytime someone came in. (There wasn’t an usher person standing at the door when we came in, so we didn’t go tell anyone anything.) After the show started, a lady came over to check our tickets & she made the other guy leave, so we got our seats. Rock on!
Jimmy Eat World came on, and they were whatever. I just don’t care about them. lol. I knew more songs than I thought I did, but still - whatever.
Then they did the stage stuff, and a drunk bunny came on stage & tried to do the YMCA and stuff. I believe it was a band member, but which band member it is, who knows. It was hilarious.
THEN THE BAND CAME OUT!!! I sat there in awe for like THREE SONGS. I’m like… “Hi, I’m in the same room as Green Day. How is that even possible?? OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!” lol They started w/ American Idiot, then they did Jesus of Suburbia, and Holiday, and Are We The Waiting, but I don’t think it was after Holiday… hrm.. (I should’ve brought paper/pen to write it down!). Then they played Longview, and that’s kinda when I woke up. LOL They played Basket Case and some more songs.. St Jimmy, umm.. When September Ends… uh.. other songs. That I don’t remember. lol. IT RULED!! They played Minority, and King For a Day, which they turned into Shout & Stand By Me, then went back to finish King for a Day. They did the Operation Ivy cover on 1039, where they pulled members from the audience out. the bass player kicked ass, and the drummer was cool - tre showed him what to do for the song & he started playing his own thing & tre whacked him upside the head. lol Billie Joe pulled some kid out of the audience to play his guitar, and was like “how long have you been playing?! 7 years?? how old are you? 18? have you ever gotten laid?” and i guess the kid said no.. cuz billie joe’s like “well you’re getting laid tonight! get your ass up here!!” lol the kid rocked the guitar, too. billie joe ended up letting him keep the freaking guitar. lol HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?!? they ended the first set with Minority, then came back out to do Maria, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, We are the Champions, and Time of Your Life.
Is it sad that I almost started crying during Time of Your Life?? Wow, I’m tearing up just typing this out. lol. I never thought I’d ever get to see Green Day. they were all popular and stuff, and when they came to town I couldn’t go (no money for tickets, no way to get there, no one to go with ) any of the times, and then they sorta dropped off the face of the planet…and if they ever came to dallas, I never knew it. now they’re huge again & I FREAKING GOT TO GO!!!

The concert is in like, 2 hrs. Scott just left to come get me, and then we’re going to see the best band eeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr!! I wish I could tell you how much I can stand it, but I can’t stand it. I can’t even believe I’m going. I haven’t been all excited and “EEK!!!”y about it because I can’t even believe that it’s happening. I! ME! MANDA! Am going to see the band I’ve been a fan of the longest (13 yrs) and have NEVER EVER SEEN!!
And did I mention I’m rich?? Yeah, I just checked the mail and had a thing from the Paypal Litigation Settlement thing - I got a whole… $13.59!! It’s about the same amount I got for the cd thing that happened a long time ago. So rock on.
Note to self - deposit along w/ TC’s check tomorrow when I go to the store.

first - the “other stuff.” I was at work yesterday, and our Fedex lady came in & was like “is it your birthday or your anniversary?” I was like, “um, no.” lol she’s like “oh, well i have flowers for you!” Joe - just because, or rather “because he hadn’t sent me flowers in a while” and because he wanted to make my work day a little happier, sent me roses! at work! and they’re pretty! I’d show you a picture, but in my rush to get out the door & not forget the important stuff (keys, bus pass, money), left the apt without my camera. The flowers are still at the office because Teresa & I ended up going shopping, and I didn’t want them to die, die, die in the car. I hope they survive the office - we gave them tons of water before I left. That, and they didn’t come with a vase, so I had to jack one from the half of the office that is no longer in use, and it’s the only one there… so I need to keep it there on the off chance that I get flowers again. or someone else gets flowers hehehe
as for being all shopped out - we had a day today. work, then shopping.
i had to return the outfit i bought on oldnavy.com a few weeks ago because the shirt was too small & the skirt was not what i ordered. I ended up looking around - finding a bunch of things to try on, but not having anything that really jumped out at me. I ended up getting a khaki/cream colored corduroy skirt, though (because teresa really liked the brown one - and if she ended up getting it, taht way we wouldn’t be twinkies at work. we already have one pair of pants the same & somehow have always managed to wear them the same day. LOL), and I can wear that with just about anything.
after that, we went to the disney store to get gabby a barbie… “i’m getting a barbie, manda! barbie!” eheh cuteness! she ended up picking out a Sleeping Beauty princess barbie. then we ate, and then we went to lane bryant.
i bought out the store.
actually - not really. the thing i absolutely LOVELOVELOVEd the most didn’t fit. and i didn’t like it enough to spend $60 on it. i didn’t like the duster (it was pink. and oh so pretty. EEEK!!! It’s on sale!!!) i picked out enough to spend $60 on it either. but i did buy a ton of other stuff - new underthings, cuz, well, i needed to. then i bought a tweedy looking skirt that’s really pretty (brown w/ turquoise flecks), a cranberry colored cami, brown crops w/ like, cream colored dotted lines (they kinda look pinstripey from far away), this cardigan, and a brown like, cross-over kinda shirt, a 3-eyehole sweater thing, and umm.. i think that’s it.
