hello, lovely

Well, I was originally just knitting something for nearly everyone I know, but I decided to buy some things for some people, like immediate family & Joe.

I just bought Joe’s Christmas Present and Charles’ Christmas Present.
I know what I’m going to buy for my mom, as soon as I can scout it out, but there’s one person who is throwing me off completely.

My sister.
I have no idea what in the world to get her.
I found her wishlist, but all that’s on there, pretty much, is a bunch of chicklit books w/ stupid titles & that feels like a stupid present to get her when you consider all the spiffy stuff I’m going to buy for everyone else.

UGGGHGHGHGH! Help me.

I love it when things get screwed up in my favor. I ordered my groceries online because I needed a lot of heavy stuff (case of water, sodas were on sale, etc. etc. etc.), and one of the things I ordered was a quart of milk. I don’t drink milk by itself, and since my cooking as of late has been essentially non-existant, I haven’t really cooked much with it either, but I always get at least a quart, just in case. Well, this quart of milk was $1.49! And when I got my groceries?! I’d received a whole GALLON! I’ll be eating lots of macaroni & cheese this week, as well as doing a lot of baking with recipes that require milk. *lol* I’d hate to toss it.

So yeah.. now I’m all excited about a gallon of milk.

I’ve been busy knitting & watching movies. I watched the last two DVDs of Alias, Season 1. YAY. And Assault on Precinct 13. Blockbuster’s being retarded and saying they didn’t get my other two movies, so I’ve had to report them as missing. Yay. THey sent one of them (some animated cat movie..not Aristocats, but something else. I forget the name.. but it looked cute, and I’m in a cartoony sort of mood.), but I haven’t received it yet, so I”ll be watching the original Yours, Mine & Ours because I’ve never seen it before, and everyone seems to think that’s the greatest sin that ever occured, so i’m absolving myself today. It’s Sunday after all. *LOL* Perfect time for an oldie. And some knitting.

Also - I did finally receive the correct Alias disc, but?? IT WAS CRACKED. I am so not meant to see those episodes. I reported it damaged, so hopefully I’ll have it soon.

Netflix does it again.

After the last response, I emailed them again.. saying if that’s the case, then why did they send me the FIFTH DISC of a different series? It’s not the different series that is pissing me off - it’s the fact that they state they’ll hold off on 1 series if the next disc isn’t available so you can watch it in order. if that’s SUCH A HUGE DEAL, why didn’t they send me THE FIRST DISC of the next series? or the next disc of the next series? or something in an order THAT MAKES SENSE!?!?!

TC said I should email them again and not be so nice, but I don’t really know what the point is. I don’t want anything other than an answer, and it’s obvious they have nothing but form answers for their responses. I’m not asking for a free month or anything.

Apparently there is a class action lawsuit against Netflix, and I’ve already signed up for that… I don’t want to have to cancel just to sign up again to get my free month of service. I did get the next Alias DVD, though, last night, so that’s something.

I’m so tired, but I don’t want to go to sleep.
I have to upload pics from Katy’s birthday party this weekend, which was really fun.

I ended up going to JoAnn’s yesterday to get one of the rolly yarn totes they have. I bought the “Berry” (read: pink) one. It’s bigger than I thought, but I like that I can carry everything in it…. and by everything, I mean all of the Christmas Projects I have to knit, plus my pattern binder + a pattern BOOK + notions, and STILL have room for Joe’s present (which is huge and I’m only like, 30% done with it). I haven’t taken it with me yet though, because I haven’t had time. Well like today.

The Bossman’s gonna be gone starting the 17th, so I’ll get lots of knitting time at the end of the week and all of next week. Yay!

Okay, time to clean up dinner dishes & call Joe.
