1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Yes, please.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Wraps them.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I prefer the colored lights, but I don’t decorate anymore, so .. nothing. (and before you get all sad, I’m hardly home except to sleep, and I spend Christmas at my Mom’s. why worry about a tree?)
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Never have.
5. When do you put your decorations up? I don’t! but if I did, I’d at LEAST wait until AFTER Thanksgiving. Probably closer to Xmas though. Depends on how Joe wants to do it, too, since next year will be our first Christmas! 
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Hmm.. no dessert? How ‘bout snacks then? My grandma’s Christmas Candies (the fudge, the cornflake candy, the rocky road candy. Yuuum) and her mashed potatoes. She doesn’t do anything but whip ‘em with a beater, but they’re sooooooooo yummy.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Hmm. I don’t know. Walking in the house from doing the Granmda’s-House-Hop (my great grandma’s, my Grandma B’s, then my Grandma K’s) on Christmas Eve only to come home to a ton of presents cuz Santa visited
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don’t remember. I think I started getting suspicious around 9-10 – a lot of the stuff from “Santa” had my mom’s handwriting on it. *g* I figured out how Santa visited while we were doing the GHH – mom always had to go back and “get something” .. or “finish getting ready” or something & Dad’d always take us to the car and stuff. Lol. It always took Mom a long time to come out to the car too 
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We used to do most of our gift-opening on Christmas Eve, but since we moved down here, we do it on Christmas Day. Megan & I always try to get them to let us open one on Christmas Eve, though, and we sometimes end up exchanging a gift or something.
10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him? I think we only did that a couple of times, and I don’t remember.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I dread it anytime of the year EXCEPT Christmas Eve/Day. I wish there was some way to only let it snow on the lawns and rooftops, so the roads and sidewalks and driveways aren’t so dangerous.
12. Can you ice skate? Never tried it. Don’t want to. Joe thinks I should.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I don’t know. I’ve gotten some really cool things – hmm. My Fossil watch that died long ago and the bamboo knitting needle set I got last year.
14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Since becoming an “adult” & especially a knitter, where I’m giving people things that I’ve made specifically for them, seeing them open that just-for-them present & thinking is a really cool thing.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Any dessert, as long as it doesn’t have coconut on / in it ;D
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Going to the movies on Christmas Day. Sounds stupid, and it’s a pretty recent tradition, but it’s fun. We saw all the LOTR movies on Christmas Day. I really miss doing the Grandma-House-Hop though. And going to Grandma K’s for Christmas Dinner. Wah.
17. What tops your tree? Nothing! No tree..
18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving? Giving, but I’m not going to knock the receiving. I like opening presents & seeing what people thought to get me.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol? “Away in a Manger” – though I’m not particularly religious, I loooove singing this one. Also, “First Noel.”
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yum to the infinity power. I never met a candy cane I didn’t like.

well, i originally intended to skip out on half a day at work tomorrow to go to the dmv to renew my id & snag another learner’s permit thingy so i can practice driving someway, somehow. after thinking about it, though - i’m covering someone’s desk tomorrow, and i didn’t really let anyone know that i’m going to be late.. so i decided i’ll go in on time tomorrow. i’ll let the appropriate people know that i’ll be late on tuesday (i’m not covering anyone, and the boss is out of town, therefore i’ll probably just be sitting & knitting anyway), and then i won’t look (or feel) like a gigantic ass. if everything goes smoothly/on time, i know i wont get up to work until 11 or 12, and if the person i’m covering for has files.. or tons of pregrades from over the weekend, then they’ll be screwed, and that won’t look very good on me. especially since i just received a stellar review (all 4s! 5 is perfect, and i believe i’m too new to get perfect scores. besides that, i know i haven’t been perfect. lol) indicating that i take care of the ae’s needs & am friendly and very customer-/team-oriented.
so instead, i will take tomorrow (if i’m slow, which i probably will be now that i’m making sure i’m there) to review the manual some more. and knit, of course. (i’m almost done w/ another project, which will take me to 6 projects i still need to finish before christmas)

+ Eye Doc Appt at 10:30 on Saturday (this will definitely get crossed off. lol)

+ Look for new “winter” coat; possibly scarf/hat/gloves; new socks; and pj pants (Got the socks & pj pants; scarf came with a sweater I bought; didn’t find a coat I liked/wanted to spend $60-$80 on)

We’re getting sleet and ice and snow, so everything’s shutting down, it seems. *lol*
Depending on how bad it is by the time I get home, I might be crashing at TC’s place.
At least three people have already left for the day, just because they live where their getting the most of it. I haven’t seen much here… the ground’s wet and stuff, but it’s not doing anything with a real force, so we’ll see how it is.
Hopefully this means we’ll have niceish weather the rest of the winter… we usually get one totally craptastic couple of days during a winter season (even though it’s not technically winter for like, 2 more weeks), and then the rest of the time it’s okay. pleeeeease let it be the same in this case, and pleeeeease let me be able to go see Joe at the end of the month. *lol*
