** Sorry for the lack of posting. Things at work have been nuts, and when I get home, I’m just too tired. :) Wedding planning has been non existant, because I’m not sure how I’m going to plan what I want/need to plan with the somewhat limited funds we have (trying to squeeze 384528 things out of not a lot of cash!), and I just shut down and decide I’ll think about it later. Anyway, here’s a fun little Blogthing to keep you occupied.

DUDE! The last few days have totally been all about good things happening to me. I’m so freaking grateful.

First, here are pics of the ring. The pics suck & the ring is much prettier in person, but I had to have something to show. ;)

In other good news, I just found out I’m getting promoted at the beginning of the month!! How cool is that?! :) :)

Thanks for all the comments about my lovely news! :) I’m extremely happy, except for the fact that he just left about an hour ago. *sob* Holding up pretty well, so far though, considering I’m at work.

Anyway, here’s the story:
If you don’t know already, I’m engaged as of Jan. 8th :D hee hee.

Joe really surprised me, and the ring is gorgeous (pictures will be posted tonight or tomorrow).

Okay.. Joe dropped me off at the airport in Sac about 1:00, and had to go because he had a work meeting. I sadly made my way through the security checkpoint thingy… by the way, I think it works when you cry like a baby going through security… maybe i’m just lucky, but they’ve never had to search me. *lol* Anyway, so I made my way to the gate and sat down.. read a little, knitted some, sat around. About 30 minutes before we’re supposed to board, the lady at the desk calls me over. I’m freaking out by this point, because I had to check my luggage, which I never do, and I had tons of candy and a candle, and all kinds of things in the bag. She told me she just needed my boarding pass, and that she’s bring it to me in a minute. No big deal, so I went and sat back down… freaking out, of course.

Five minutes later, she brought my boarding pass back, and I”m like, “is there a problem?” She told me they just overbooked my seat & they wanted to bump me up to first class.. a happy mistake, in my case. So i’m like, Cool.. I get to fly first class. *lol* :) I was sitting right by the gate, so when they started boarding the people in wheel chairs & stuff, the guy just grabbed some passes from people around him and let us all on the plane, so that kind of rocked.

I sat down in my seat, and the flight attendants brought us water… took orders for lunch (I didn’t get anything, cuz we ate a big breakfast, then had snacks at the airport Chili’s).. brought us drinks and warm nuts and stuff. I’m like, awesome. The guy I sat next to was kind of cool, but we didn’t talk much.. and it was just lots of fun.

Halfway into the flight, the flight attendant walks passed me and grabs my glass of Dr. Pepper (half-full with 2 ice cubes still in it, mind you) and goes “I’m going to get you some more ice.” Two seconds later, Joe comes running up the aisle and goes “Excuse me, miss…w ill you marry me??” *lol* :) (also, eek!) I kind of stared at him for about 30 seconds, wondering what the hell he was doing on the plane, and what about his meeting??! :) Then I realized what was happening and I said yes, and everyone was like “awwwww!! Congrats!!” the whole rest of the flight. We’d just flown over teh Four Corners, so the pilot came on and was all “On the left side of the plane we have the 4 corners, and it seems that Amanda and Joe just got engaged!” so everyone kept congratulating us and stuff. lol :) it was awesome. we each got a glass of champagne and it was really cool. :D

So he ended up coming back with me and spending the last 2 days with me. :) He just left, and I have to go back home after work & work on cleaning my apartment up. *lol* Don’t ask. :)

Enough typing, I have some things to do… work is work, after all. :D

Okay, so I wasn’t expecting to post while I’m on my trip, but this trip has been so freaking interesting. Expect a more detailed post–I bought a notebook and some pens to write it all down on our way to Reno (we’re leaving in a couple hrs)–but here are some highlights.

+ Flight took off on time, but because of crappy weather in the Sac area, we had to stop in Phoenix to refuel.
+ Weather has been crappy - if you’ve heard about all the rain and stuff in this area, well, we’re here. But it hasn’t really effected us.
+ Stuck on I-80 for about 4 hours.
+ Dead car on I-80.
+ Missed the Jelly Belly Factory :( But we’re going to try to make that up.
+ Wind and rain and omg.
+ Two movies so far. :)

Like I said, more details later, but there you go. :)

Happy New Year! :)
