Olympic Memories

ETA: I Don’t know why this stupid thing is not saving my corrections. Pics are at the knit blog or on flickr.

The Olympics were kind of “eh” this year, aside from the figure skating. Man, I love me some figure skating. The snowboard cross was kind of cool to watch, too, but for the most part, I didn’t really care about this Olympics.

Well, aside from the fact that I joined the Knitting Olympics. Let me tell you, dear reader … I am an Olympic Medalist!

I finished the sweater (yes. SWEATER!) in two weeks. The night of the Olympics, I ended up going out to the movies w/ Teresa & Fam, and I didn’t really start on it until the Saturday morning. There was also one day during this Olympic run that I didn’t knit one single stitch. So, I was kind of scared I might not finish, but I did! :)

Here’s an icky picture of me wearing it:

The mirror’s dirty, so ignore that. ;) Other than the fact that the front is a *little* too short for my liking, I love this sweater. :) The shortness’ll go away as the pounds do, so it’ll be fine. :) It’s so warm and soft, so I know I won’t get to wear it much before next winter, but I’m going to enjoy it while I can.

I’ll get TC to take a picture for me tomorrow so I can get a decent pic, instead of the “in the mirror” shot.

Now I don’t know what to knit! I have 2-3 projects for OTHER PEOPLE to finish, and about 3-4 on top of that, plus all the new ones I want to start. Ahh! There isn’t enough tiiiiime!

What kind of Flirt are you?

You Are a Coy Flirt

You may not seem like you’re flirting, but you know exactly what you’re doing.
You draw people in, very calculatingly, without them even knowing.
Subtle and understated, you know how to best leverage your sex appeal.
A sexy enigma, you easily become an object of obsession.

I guess? :)

How Evil Are You?

You Are 24% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

Not as evil as I was afraid it was going to be, so this is okay… ;)

Stupid People Day

Why didn’t you guys inform me that today is Stupid People Day? Also, Work Your Ass Off Day?

Every person I’ve spoken to on the phone today, with the exception of Bossman and one other person, has been a moron.

Is it lunch time yet? I need a break.

Also, one of the guys I work with on a daily basis (he’s like .. I don’t know how to explain it, but he handles our stuff once it’s ‘inside’) is getting something taken care of today when we thought it might take longer, and he’s like “Who’s your daddy!?!?” I fought, with all of my might, not to reply back with my dad’s name, but the urge won out…. I replied with, “I don’t know about y’all, but [dad's name] is my daddy.” *grin* :)

Johari Window

This is kind of cool.
Visit my Johari Window and pick five or six words that you think describe me. It’s kind of cool - it’s a perception thing, really. I picked six words that I thought described myself. You pick words to describe me, and then I can see how others see me in relation to how I see myself. And it’s a whole big thing. Or maybe not so much, but it’s kind of cool. :)

I get all…. chatty and posty. *lol* :) I miss him. :( I hope he’s having fun on his hiking/camping trip. He’ll be back today sometime! :D

Anyway, I did something last night that I haven’t done in a really long time.
I read a book.
In three hours.
Not a few chapters. Not half the book.
THE. WHOLE. BOOK!
In three hours.

The book was 3rd Degree by James Patterson. He writes his chapters so small - some only being a page - and with such suspense, it’s often hard to put them down. Last night? I didn’t. I wasn’t tired, and I just had to keep reading. :) It’s been a really long time since I’ve read a whole book in a day, and then it was a summer day when I was still in like, Junior High and I didn’t have a thing in the world to do, and that still took about 7 hrs! :)

I just spend about an hour going through myspace profiles for people who I graduated with. They’re most likely people who would never ever remember me (I’m still close friends with all the people who “mattered” in HS! lol), but it’s still fun to see where they ended up. Most of them seem to still be in town, but some of them are all over the place.

A lot of people, judging by their pics haven’t changed too much, but some of them are a little different. Some of them are hotter than I remember, some of them look exactly the same–just a bit older, and some of them look completely different.

It’s pretty funny. :)
I wonder if we’ll have a HS reunion. *lol* :) Our class goes down as the laziest Senior Class at NGHS, I’m sure. so it’ll be fun to see if that reunion thing happens. *lol* :)
