I have to say, the best thing about Curious George, other than all the kiddos laughing and giggling in all the right parts, and the cuteness of George himself, is the soundtrack, by Jack Johnson.

I was chair-dancing throughout the whole movie. I had “Upside Down” in my head and decided to download the soundtrack (I can’t get music and stuff off my old hard drive right now, so I’m musicless except what I put on there from my own cds). It’s awfully catchy!! *lol* :)

Upside Down - Jack Johnson

Who’s to say
What’s impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There’s no stopping curiosity

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
I don’t want this feeling to go away

Who’s to say
I can’t do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren’t always just what they seem

I want to turn the whole thing upside
All finer things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
This world keeps spinning and there’s no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and

Upside down
Who’s to say what’s impossible and can’t be found
I don’t want this feeling to go away

Please don’t go away
Please don’t go away
Please don’t go away
Is this how it’s supposed to be
Is this how it’s supposed to be

Okay, so my friend Damian’s been emailing me about helping him with some stuff, and he sent out an email about Teddy Geiger being on that Love Monkey show (that I think just got cancelled.. oops). I didn’t get to tune in (I have Gilmore Girls on Tuesdays! And the Olympics, but normally Scrubs!), but I’ve been really wanting to hear what he sounds like.

He’s another boy-with-guitar guy, and I really like his stuff. His full-length cd doesn’t come out until March 21st, but I’m already waiting for it. :)

So, thank you, Damian. :D Anytime he mentions someone I need to check out, it’s someone I end up liking, so … yay for having musician friends. :)

(Damian’s currently working on his cd, too! And we’re trying to get website stuff going, or at least a MySpace site set up in the meantime. I can’t WAIT! until his cd comes out!!)

Well, here I am posting on my spiffy new laptop. My first post from it? About Effed-Up Dreams.

I had two last night/this morning, and I don’t remember all the details of either one.

Number 1 involved hanging out with the guys from Green Day, and eventually Mike & Tre had to go, so it was just me and Billie Joe. I was telling him all about Joe and I and hwo we were eventually moving out there, and how I think the Bay Area is so gorgeous. He told me about his wife (whom I met in the dream, even though she looked different than I know how she looks from the 1 or 2 pics I’ve ever seen of her) and kids, and life in general. We ended up becoming really good friends. I wished him a Happy Birthday (which was yesterday… Happy Birthday, Billie Joe. :D), and he hugged me. *lol* We exchanged phone numbers and promised to call when we could (I know - what???? lol). It was kind of like having Plasma Jack as friends, only like, a billion times more because well, Green Day is completely huge and PJ was mostly “local.” Well, anyway, I ran into someone we knew was stealing (this was after BJ and I stopped hanging out), and I tried to get ‘em caught. It turns out, like the FBI or someone was looking for this person and BJ’s wife was in on the sting operation or something, and they got the girl (who was rude to me in whatever clothing store we were in). BJ’s wife took me aside and told me he’s been completely different since we met, and I’ve given him his self-esteem (wtf??) back. He found out I was involved in the thing and came running up and gave me a hug (apparently Clothes-Stealer-Chick was dangerous??). The end.

So that was completely cool. Also, strange.

The 2nd one involved me at a hotel with a ton of people I don’t know. We were in either a really huge suite, a REALLY huge elevator, or a REALLYREALLY huge lobby. I think we were actually in the elevator. All these different people were there, and the police dressed in SWAT gear brought this nerdy-but-cool looking guy in handcuffs on the elevator. My sister was with me, too, I remember. So anyway, they start pumping this gas stuff into the elevator before it starts moving to get the bad guy to go to sleep, but he holds his breath or something and everyone else (except me … and him) passes out. (WTF?) I go ahead and open the doors of the elevator, but nobody’s there… so I sneak out, and he ends up looking up as I’m tiptoeing out, and he’s like “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” and I’m like, I just have to go to the bathroom. SO he’s like, ok.

So I walk out the door, and I”m trying to find like an emergency or a courtesy phone or something. I find one, pick it up, and he’s like WHO ARE YOU CALLING?! and I’m like, nobody. so I hang up the phone. Then all of a sudden (like i said, I don’t remember all the details), we all end up in a big suite (even the passed out people, who are still passed out) with huge French Doors, and my sister’s there. there’s a knock on the door, and it’s Teresa. I mouth to her to go downstairs and tell them what’s going on. She starts crying and says she can’t (WTF?!), so then someone else comes up.. the mother or something of someone else, and i mouth to her about the situation, and SHE starts blubbering and saying she can’t.. so I shove Megan out the door and tell her to take them downstairs and tell security and get us help. So she drags the two of them downstairs, and the guy asks what’s going on. I tell him nothing, and I walk into the bathroom. Dina’s in there, and Jenny and Stacy too, just standing there (WTF?!). I tell ‘em I really have to pee, and they asks me what’s going on out there. *lol* So I told ‘em, and forgot about having to pee. We open the door and peer out, and all of a sudden there’s a Hispanic guy standing at the door saying he has to go too. ?!?!?! so we all sneak out, and he goes in, and all of a sudden the french doors break down and the rest? of the swat team comes in and they get the guy. Dina goes “well, it’s a good thing we cancelled our get together today” WTF?!?!?? and we all laugh and hug and then I woke up. And I really had to pee. *lol*

SO yeah…. that was weird. I don’t know why April wasn’t there. Maybe cuz she’s pregnant and doesn’t need the stress. *lol*

So, I will hopefully have a computer this weekend. I just checked the official (read: received an email w/ shipment confirmation) tracking information, and delivery has been rescheduled to TOMORROW. *SQUEE!!* :)

*happy dance*
Now maybe I won’t have to go buy a DVD player this weekend. *inno*

Okay, not me. And it’s probably not really on a plane, but my computer shipped yesterday! I have a tracking number, and it’s expected to arrive between the 20th and the 22nd. I hope I get lucky and get it tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath. We’re closed Monday, so I hope they hold it til Tuesday.

EEK! :)

There aren’t enough words to describe how much I hate this computer. The keyboard sucks. The mouse hardly works. It’s slow as HELL.

I HATE this computer.
I hope to toss it out the window upon moving to our new apartment. I don’t want to have anything to do with it.

With that said, I’d rather be without computer than have to sit here and use this one. Posting will be minimal until I get the new system, but I will be checking email daily from work.

So if you need me, feel free to comment or email me directly.

Well, it looks like my laptop is not going to cooperate (I had it on about 10 minutes while I tried starting to back stuff up before it died again). Thankfully Joe got me a thingy-thing that I am supposed to be able to put the harddrive into & can then hook it up to my other computer and get the stuff I want to save off of it. I should receive that about the time I get the laptop, I think.

According to the Dell Website & my order status, as of this morning it was in Boxing. I hope this means I get it soonsoonsoon.

Joe sent me some gorgeous flowers. I’m going to leave them up here so a) I don’t have to carry them home and b) everyone can look at them and be jealous (hee) and c) they can make me smile. :D I took a picture of them, but with the computer issues, it might be next Valentine’s day before I get ‘em off the camera. ;)

back to the grind.

Just an FYI - I may be missing in action for the next couple of weeks. My laptop is dying, and if I can get it to turn on when I get home from work tonight, I don’t know how long it will last. Until then, I’ll be attempting to use my desktop, but it was in pretty bad shape when I got my laptop, so we’ll see how that goes.

I have ordered a new laptop notebook computer. It’s pretty and shiny, and other than the fact that I’m ticked off about having 70-75% of what I was going to stick in savings (on Friday, when I get paid) have to go towards a new computer, I’m really, really excited.

Dell Inspiron 600m

Eek! :) I can’t wait to get it. :D
