I KNEW! I belonged in Ireland! I just knew it! :)

You Belong in Dublin

Friendly and down to earth, you want to enjoy Europe without snobbery or pretensions.
You’re the perfect person to go wild on a pub crawl… or enjoy a quiet bike ride through the old part of town.

Sometimes it just does not pay to get up in the morning.

Even when you’re up early enough to vacuum the living room & the hallway.

“Why are you so good?!”

hee hee.
I was at work today, and I was really slow, which is probably the secret to my success today.

Bossman has asked me to send something & to do something else, and I kept replying to his emails with “Done.” So eventually after the last “Done!” email, the subject is what I received in response. lol. my reply? “It’s a gift.”

Totally not conceited of me, right? hehehe Well, conceited or not, I know I’m pretty good at my job, and it’s nice to be recognized for it from time to time. :)

It was pretty funny today because I was helping the new receptionist with something, and I said something like “Well give it to (recipient) and say, “and there’s yer stuff, beeyotch!” or something really stupid like that.. lol. Bossman walked by as he was leaving and goes “See what I’ve done to her?? She never used to say bad words and she was always so sweet and polite!” So he was telling the new receptionist that now I call him and say stuff like “What up, dog?” and when he asks me how the day is, I say stuff like “The sun is up, ain’t it? Well, that’s how it is.” lol!! it was SOO FREAKING FUNNY. (You probably had to be there.) I was DYING from laughing to hard, and I started turning red.. it was sooo freaking funny.

So that was my day. :) I’ve decided I love the end of the month. People aren’t trying to slam me with pregrades because they’re trying to get conditions and stuff in, so I get to sit around and have a slow day. Yay, end of the month! :) So far, we’re #1 in our region! We’re barely squeaking by though, so it’ll be interesting to see how stuff goes by the end of the week. :)

PS: I’ve decided that I hate watching repeats of my favorite shows. Not that I hate the repeats, but I barely get to see anymore new shows because I get home so late. *glares at Gilmore Girls & the whole night of repeats* Maybe the next one will be one I haven’t seen yet :)

Man, you know what I really hate?
Shaped macaroni.
Not like shells, or fusili or the radiators or all the other “regular” shaped macaroni.
No, I mean like… SpongeBob SquarePants shaped macaroni. Like Superman shaped macaroni. All those weird funky-ass shapes that they like to put out so kids will want to eat it more. It TASTES different, somehow.

When I was a kid, we only had macaroni shaped macaroni, and that was just fine. Y’know why? Because it was macaroni & cheese. The only “special” way I liked it? Was at my Grandma’s. I can’t tell you what’s different about it when she makes it - she just follows the directions, but it always tastes better there.

Anyway… why the ranting & raving, you’re wondering? Because I wasn’t paying attention when I picked up the macaroni & cheese at the store. I have Spongebob shaped macaroni, and I didn’t even realize it until I dumped the noodles in the water.

*GRR*.

In other news - feeling like crap today. Yay. :/

Well, the lady finally, FINALLY called me back. Apparently the original person we were dealing with had held the place for us anyway with the understanding that I’d go back that evening. It didn’t work out that way thanks to transportation issues & my cube like, exploding with work while I was gone to lunch.

I took in my application & the hold check after work yesterday, thanks to TC dropping me off on her way (sort of-ish) to get Alex. Now we’re just waiting on Joe, who’s been super busy w/ work meetings and interviews and all kinds of other crap, to get his application faxed in to them.

I SOOOOOOOOO want this freaking apartment. SOOOOO so so so so so SOOOOOOOOO bad. :)

I haven’t had a weekend To-Do list in a while, so let’s post one.

To-Do List for 3/25-3/26
+ Laundry. MUST!!
+ Grocery shopping (MUST!!)
+ Possibly go to JoAnn’s, or do an online order for some Secret Pal goodies (in-store better, I have my 40% off coupon to use)
+ Search for PodSafe Music
+ Record & post Episode 2 of my Podcast. (It’s about Knitting. I say “Um” a lot, and I yawn in the first episode. I think I know how to edit it now, but I’ll leave it there for posterity.)

+ Driving Lessons (Probably on Sunday)
+ Clean out the Fridge
+ Start going through all my JUNK and tossing or packing, or at least organizing.
+ Go through other bins of Yarn Stash for things to sell or knit.
+ Finish at least 1 Knitting Project this weekend
+ Watch Netflix movies (1 more to go - Domino).
+ Sleep
+ Go to bank & have them switch to the new free checking stuff.

Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

Five Minutes
If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour.
Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

Nothing
This is the calm before the storm. This means “something” and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with “nothing” usually end in “fine”.

Go Ahead
This is a dare, not permission, DON’T DO IT!

Loud Sigh
Although not actually a word, the loud sigh is often misunderstood by men. A “Loud Sigh” means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over “Nothing”.

That’s Okay
This is one of the most dangerous statements that woman can make to a man. “That’s Okay” means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

Thanks
This is the least used of all words in the female vocabulary. If a woman is thanking you: Do not question it, just say you’re welcome and back out of the room slowly.

I can’t even stand it.
We found the apartment that I’m so hopelessly in love with (or as much as you can be in love with an apartment), and I want to move in RIGHT NOW.

The girl who was helping us is like, not available today or at least when I called. Grr. And I want to go in and drop off the hold check. I don’t want someone else to help me. :( lol.

Anyway. Umm, I think that’s it right now. I’m busydoing work. Yay work. Good news is it’s Thursday, so it’s starting to slow down a little bit. :) yay. heh.

Mar 17

Well, I’m back.
Actually, I never really left, but I was really busy.
Joe flew in Friday, and we took Teresa & Alex & Gabby out to dinner for taking me to the airport to get him. On the way out of the airport, I handed Teresa a dollar so we could get out. She threw it back to me, but Gabby caught it & she actually CHECKED IT IN THE LIGHT to see if it was REAL!!! It was the funniest damn thing EVER. *lol* Then she decided she had to pay the Pizza Lady (We went to CiCi’s), so Teresa let her pay for dinner. ehehehh Joe beat me to the punch when it came to actually paying the cashier, so he gave her her “change” when we were leaving. It was so cute. :)

Saturday, we didn’t do much of anything. Went to a late lunch, and decided to spend the day at the hotel watching tv. We paid for the room, might as well use it, and we ended up getting room service for dinner because… why not?

Sunday, we didn’t do much during the day. About 1pm, we went to Enterprise to pick up the rental car. That took about an hour or so, and then we went to lunch. After lunch, we went out driving a little, and then we went to my mom’s to hang out and eat dinner. Joe was so cute & actually kind of fell asleep on the couch. It’s partly the spot on the couch where he was sitting (it’s like, the comfy sleep-spot), and partly the fact that he was just exhausted. We had a nice time, and then we came home.

Monday, I woke up pretty early, and he slept in. I should’ve woken him up because we were going to go look at apartments, but I just couldn’t do that to him. :) So I watched CSI & knitted & read some emails and stuff while he slept. We ended up leaving the apartment around 11 or so, maybe? Eventually, I had to wake him up. heeh He took me to Collin Creek so I could get the stupid-ass sensor off a shrug I bought there over a month ago. The sensor didn’t make the alarms at the store I bought it at go off, but it made the ones at THIS store go off. The clerk apologized, and I told her it wasn’t her store’s fault, but she took the sensor off, and away we went.

We stopped at one complex completely by accident - we were looking for the entrance of the one across the street, but turned into theirs because we couldn’t find it. It was the first apt we looked at, and we ended up deciding on that one. (My mind was made up from the beginning actually, but I sorta liked the last one we saw on Wed.) We went to lunch, then checked out a couple more before giving in to the need for a nap and went home. We ended up going out later for dinner & to see The Hills Have Eyes (Insert Movie Review Here: It sucked.), and then we went home to crash. OH! Before we went home from apt hunting, I got him to go into a Hobby Lobby. *heheh* I bought the beads I needed for a couple of projects I want to knit & handles for the purse I’m going to make next.

Tuesday, more of the same. We actually got kind of a late start again. We went out to breakfast, then to the bank so I could deposit a check. I had to stop by work and drop off the mailbox key that I forgot to give the new receptionist on Friday, so we said hi to Teresa & then went to shop for mattresses. We found a few styles we like, and one we really, really like, so Joe’s going to do some homework and price comparison on them. After JC Penney’s & Sears, we went to Ikea (for the first time!).

I’ve decided that some of the stuff at Ikea is really cool, and it’s really awesome stuff for the price, but some of that crap is …well… just that. That said, we looked at an El-Cheapo couch & will be probably getting that when we move into our new apartment. :D I also want to get my dishes from there, so I can get rid of my stupid dishes. hehe

After Ikea, we stopped at the place we were originally going Monday morning, because we found the entrance!! We looked at those, and they were okay. When we were leaving this place, we saw another complex right next to them, but they were already closed, so we decided to check them out on my lunch on Wednesday. We came back to the apartment, decided to check and see if there were any movies we wanted to see (all sucky reviews, didn’t want to chance it), and then went to dinner. After dinner, we came back and went to sleep.

Wednesday, we woke up & got ready. He took me to work, and I was early, so we went to Starbucks. He got free coffee & I ended up getting a scone & a hot chocolate (also for free, because I used a gift card - so it didn’t come out of my pocket. *lol*). He dropped me off at work, and went to his interviews. He brought me flowers and lunch (awww), but I had a couple of things to finish & then my boss came in w/ some files and stuff, so I had to wait around a minute. After my boss met him, we went to eat really fast & then we went to look at the last complex. It was nice, but the girl who was showing us apartments just… I don’t know. I didn’t like her tone or personality. We decided we actually really did like the first place we saw the best, so that’s what we’re going with. :)

I took Joe to Cold Stone Creamery on teh way back & we got big bowls of ice cream, and then he dropped me off at work. :( We spent a lot of time in the parking lot saying goodbye, and I cried a little going back to the office. He went to the airport, and now I’m playing catch up! :)

Well, I’m caught up now, but it took like two days, because I had to train the new receptionist on pregrades, and stuff…… so I’m finally where I need to be. Good time for a weekend. ;)
This weekend, I’m cleaning & throwing stuff away & doing laundry & all that fun stuff. I might be going out with my friends on Saturday, but I haven’t seen any definite yes or nos as to what we’ll do. Everyone’s pretty much saying “Count me in! Just let me know what’s going on!” lol.

I love my friends, but these last-minute ‘hey, let’s do something’s just don’t work out too well. *rofl* :) Weather permitting, I’ll be going out driving on Sunday. If not though, I’m okay with that, because I really need/want to tend to the apartment stuff. :)
