I’m so busy, but I’m taking a break from all the rest of the cleaning/unpacking. Not much, but I want the place to look nice for Joe tomorrow. Anyway, found a meme via Daisyhead, and decided it was kind of cool, since I’d never seen it before. Original questions can be found here.

1. I’m addicted to… knitting and watching CSI on DVD via Netflix.
2. My dream house… is located near water, and it big and lovely.
3. Last night… I watched CSI on DVD, knitted, and stayed up way too late.
4. There’s nothing wrong with… not being able to come up with a decent answer for this question.
5. When I was a kid… I spent everyday of the summer, all day, at the city pool. It rocked.
6. This weekend I shall… spend time with my honey. He’s coming into town tonight, and I don’t know what we’re going to do, if anything. Being broke is awesome. heh.

Things I want to Accomplish Today, that May or May Not Happen

• Finish Cuff on Sock #1 of my Crusoe pair of socks (I’m halfway through the heel flap!
• Cast on for Co-Worker Baby Blanket
• Laundry, since I didn’t do any yesterday or Friday
• Unpack (want to finish, but I’d be happy to get a couple more boxes unpacked & the table cleaned off) *in progress*
• Vacuum
• Watch my Netflix movies (Shopgirl, QAF, Final Season, Disc 2)
• Work on site for Damian. I’m so uninspired.
• Upgrade WP. Maybe find a new layout thingy.
• Make dinner. I’m cooking today! I’m cooking today!
• Look for recipes (online or in my cookbooks), so I don’t have to have plain, boring food.

Yeah, we’ll leave it at that. Now let’s see how much of this I’ll actually do.

I have nothing of substance to report, but I’m tired of looking at the last post.

Work has been kinda hellish this week. If it’s not one thing, it’s another, and I’ve had a headache at the end of every day this week. Even today, and Fridays are usually awesome. I love Fridays. heh.

I had to call my boss to ask a question or to let him know something, and this was the conversation:

Bossman: This is Bossman*.
Me: Hello, it’s your favorite assistant!
Bossman: Fred*!! You’re back!!
Me: Watch it, mister. Or I’ll … go … home. Or something.
Bossman: NOOOOoooooooooooOOOOOOoooooooo!!

Then he asked me to hold, and we didn’t get to continue whatever funniness that would’ve become. Oh well.

* Names changed to protect uh, my job. And the innocent. But mostly? My job.

Sadly, that was the highlight of my work day. Other than some other crap that I can’t really talk about…because I can’t really talk about it (work stuff, y’know), and because it’s still not over. Somehow I keep getting sucked into it. Probably because I’m the only one who knows what’s going on, sort of, but whatever.

Anyway… whatever.

So, this weekend, other than some unpacking, seeing Cars for Alex’s birthday, and trying to work on a website for a dear musician friend of mine, I’m gonna be hanging out and relaxing and just generally not doing a damn thing. Maybe a trip to the grocery store, but I’m going to play hermit for the first real time since I moved into this place.

Cell phones/plans that allow for a song to play while the phone should be ringing.

Joe’s phone now does that. One of my coworker’s phones (who I don’t have to call very much anymore now that I’m someone’s assistant, instead of everyone’s assistant, thank GOD!) does that. It’s the most annoying thing in the world. I mean, it’s kinda cool the first time…when yer like “WTF?! Am I calling the right person?!” But then it’s just annoying.

Why can’t phones just ring like they’re supposed to?

Okay, I know I really have to go to work, but rather than hold the camera hostage so we can’t see pics of TC’s new green room (like, it’s green… not like a waiting room for celebrities) until who knows when, I uploaded the pics of Lizzy.

No pics of mama cuz, well, she was in pjs and eating and everyone else was holding her while I was there. Except me. (I don’t hold the brand new ones.. I let ‘em get a few weeks/months on ‘em first. *terrified look*) haha I’ll get her next time we see her.

I’d like to welcome Baby Elizabeth to the fold…

She was born this afternoon and weighs 7lbs, 9oz. *eek!*

I’m going to leave them alone tonight because I know they’re probably exhausted, but I”ll probably go see ‘em tomorrow and say hi.

You Should Spend Your Summer in the Mountains
