THat’s been my mantra for the last week. “I don’t wanna.”

I don’t want to get out of my comfy new bed, even though it’s empty now that Joe’s back in CA getting his ducks in a row.
I don’t wanna get dressed because that means I’m just that much closer to going to work.
I don’t wanna go to work, even though I generally love my job.
I don’t wanna work once I’m at work because my boss is on vacation, and I’m tired of answering the phone (or listening to it ring while I let it go to voicemail, so I can return calls later, if you want to know the truth.)
I don’t wanna return the phone calls because it’s usually something I don’t know the answer to or have no control over because I’m just the assistant, and really that’s just a fancy title for “Pre-Grade Girl.”
I don’t wanna come back from lunch because it means I have to listen to the phone ringing some more.
I don’t wanna go home because it means I’m all by myself again, and I miss Joe more. :(
I don’t wanna wait until the end of the month to see Joe again, but he has crap to worry about and take care of, and the soonest he could come back here is like, the 24th, and that’s ONLY if he skips his friend’s wedding, but I don’t want him to do that either.

I just don’t wanna.

Here’s Sophie..

SOPHIE!! :)

She’s hanging out in Yosemite. :D

I’m currently Flickrizing the pics off my Nikon, so you can view them there before I get around to posting them here. ;)

She’s a ‘98 Toyota Corolla in a lovely shade of Old People Color (aka Champagne or whatever they want to call it). :D

Dude, today is living up to it’s date. It’s a day from hell. Yesterday was day-from-hell Eve.

Gah. Is my boss back from vacation yet? *lol*

See the post below for a guest appearance by Joe. He’ll probably be posting here every once in a while because… well, because I said he could. :)

Can I go home now?

Perhaps many of you were wondering if this would ever happen. In fact, I have been asked on various occasions “Why don’t you? When will you? Why? Why? Why?”

So ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to: “Joe’s First Post” (that’s right, it’s me).

What better way to mix things up than for me to update the world on what Ms. “Hello-Lovely” herself has been too busy to tell you. :)

1) The new apartment has been ‘moved into’.
2) A new Sealy Fortune series bed has been received and setup.
3) A new couch/comforter was assembled. (It took a few of us, but we figured out that “use good” means “tighten”.
4) The process of unpacking and arranging kitchen supplies + clothes seems to be mostly done.
5) ‘Sophie’ has been brought into the daily routine and is now the primary mode of transportation.
6) Joe (i.e. me if you haven’t figured it out by now) has returned to CA to purchase a new car, start his new job, continue moving belongings, and establish some sort of housing in CA and also in southern TX (dual-location job).
7) Financial fun has made its appearance again as the account for house down payment has been replaced by the purchasing of the -2- vehicles (one for each of us). Operation ’save’ will be starting again come the end of June.

So as you can see, it’s been a busy last few days. With father’s day just around the corner, and then a friend of mine getting married the following week, and new housing arrangements to be made, and a new job starting up on the 12th of June, there never seems to be ‘rest time’ anymore.
Hopefully July will bring about a much needed ‘nap time’ :)

Well, it has been fun posting, so I hope you enjoyed my first ‘Hello World’.

P.S. I know this is a long post, but it is my first here. Also!!! Since the hello-lovely lady herself hasn’t provided any pictures of ‘Sophie’ {not a couch, but i swear it sounds like one}, if you really care, I may be inclined to provide a few pictures for you (unless she beats me to it of course) :)

Man, I have been so freaking busy lately. Joe’s being a butthead and still sleeping, so I thought I’d stop by and say hi.

Work has been crazy, and whenever I get off work, it seems like I have to run around and go somewhere. Stop at the store, see a movie, stop at the Toyota Dealership to get a couple of small parts (like a clip for the floor mat?!), finish cleaning the old apt (officially done w/ it as of like, 3 days ago. She said the only thing that they had to check on was the carpet and what kind of condition/how old it was when I moved in). So we’ll see how that goes.

I know everyone wants to hear about the trip. It was awesome. Yosemite is so pretty … it’s like another world, almost. The Grand Canyon is..well, a hole in the ground. ahah. :) But it’s alright, I guess.

I drove half way from CA to TX, and every state line we crossed (CA into AZ, AZ into NM, NM into TX) was crossed while I was at the wheel. How cool is that?? :)

Pics of the trip, me driving, and of course my Sophie (the car. Yeah, i don’t know why her name is Sophie) later. TC has one of my cameras with some pics from the trip, plus her house pics, and I have to find the cord for the other camera. :)

Have a good weekend. :D
