FYI - my site was down yesterday because bandwidth was exceeded. I’m having bandwidth issues since last month. I’m not sure if it’s spammers or what. I have a LOT (like, 20,000-30,000 hits) of 404 errors to some old Moveable Type cgi things. I don’t know how to make it so people don’t try to access it… especially since it’s coming from a spammy site. I’ve been blocking IP addresses like crazy, and it doesn’t seem to be helping.

If anyone has any tips on blocking bandwidth thieves, I’d appreciate the help.

i am soooooo exhausted.

mom, megan and i had a girls’ day out today, and we went all over the earth in search of clothes for a christmas party, gifties for a baby shower, and all the other crap we did today. it was a fun time. i ended up buying a shirt and a bunch of candy i don’t need. i’ll be sure to log it into my sparkpeople profile when i eat it. today apparently wasn’t that bad overall… a lot better than i expected it to be. i’ve been using it a lot more now since i got an invite from m.pie, which reminded me that it existed. *lol*

we came back to the house, watched you, me & dupree, and i worked on my cross-stitch project. yes, you read that right. cross-stitch. i’m cheating on my knitting.

i got joe’s christmas present in the mail today *eek* and he’s going to be here on thursday, so i’m going to need to find a way to hide it so he doesn’t see it. *lol* this is actually good though, because now i know the time-frame for the other things i want to order from there.

well, i have lots of things to work on, so either me and csi, me and titus or me and underworld: evolution [the correct disc, this time] are in for a hot date tonight.

This has been going around the knitting blogs, but I thought I’d post my answers here. Just because I have the slightest hick-ish accent doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten where I come from, apparently. I speak uh, Midwestern w/a kick …. or something. I don’t call carbonated beverages “pop” as much as TC does, though. ’round here, it’s Coke…. even if it’s Dr. Pepper or Sprite or Pepsi or something that isn’t actually Coke.

i don’t know what i want to do. everything seems to be in a state of unrest. my apartment is a mess, and i need to clean it. i need to do laundry, and load the dishwasher, and hang up my clean clothes, and change the sheets, and vacuum, and sweep and mop and just do all the housekeeping stuff that people normally do but i can’t muster up the enthusiasm for. except - when i’m nowhere near it.

i sat and did nothing all weekend, except for the 45 min-1 hr i was out of the house to grocery shop. i started cleaning the bathroom. i organized the piles of laundry, but i haven’t done anything about it. when i’m at home, i want to surround myself with yarn and knitting needles and the lovelieness is netflix. i want joe to be here, and i want to cuddle and do nothing…even though i know when he’s here, all we do is run around.

i don’t know what i want to do right now, but i know i want/have to do something.

Well, I was trying not to watch the last 2 Netflix/Blockbuster movies I had, so I was flipping through channels. There’s never anything on TV on Saturdays, but I figured I’d try anyway. I happened upon the 3rd period of the Stars-Hurricanes game, and I wish I’d have known it was on sooner than I did! Stars lost by a goal, but the 20ish minutes I saw were REALLY good. When I turned it on, the ‘Canes were up 3-1…. and after a few minutes, the Stars scored TWO GOALS (one short-handed, one even strength) within 46 seconds of each other, tying the game!! The Hurricanes answered back a few minutes later with another goal, making it 4-3. About 80 seconds until the end of the game, Turco went to the bench, the Stars ended up turning over the puck, and Stall[?] ended up getting an empty net goal… which, in my opinion, as a Stars fan, SUCKED… but it ended up being a hat-trick for him. *lol* We managed to score a goal with 0.9 seconds remaining, but it wasn’t enough to win it - just lessen the gap, making it a 6-5 game. *DEFINITELY* an interesting game, and I’m glad I found it on TV. It’s actually the first game I’ve seen all season (I know, can you believe it?), and I’m really happy the period I saw was an exciting one.

So… anyone who needs an idea on what to get me for Christmas? I want Stars tickets.

i am sitting here in front of the computer because the wind is blowing very hard, and I can only imagine that it’s actually cold outside.  my apartment is nice and toasty right now. all i want to do is stay home and knit, but i really have to go to work. no telling how busy it’s going to be, and my afternoon is pretty well shot because we have an off-site meeting. and by the time we leave the meeting and get back to the office, it’s time to go home.

enough typing, though. i better get going.
