One of the ladies on my knitting list was talking about RPG/MUD games and stuff, and I geeked out quite a bit. Joe and I met in one of those games. LOL :) Anyway, one of the other ladies sent me a link for this pretty cool game called Kingdom of Loathing, and I have to say it’s been a grand waste of a couple of hours of my life. LOL :)

I don’t know yet if you can meet up with people or chat with people or whatever yet, but if you’re so inclined to check it out, I’m ambrielly. :)

I have a job interview in a few hours. :)

ETA: I think it went well. We talked about the job, and my job history, and it turns out (in my opinion, at least) that I’m perfect for the job. I just hope they think so, too. :) I bought Thank You cards before I actually went to the interview, so I could send one out when I was finished, and they turned out to be in their colors, even, so I think that kind of looks good. :) lol. Like I paid attention to details! :)

ETA2: I just got a call-back for a 2nd interview on Tuesday! *happy dance*

I’m trying to figure out what we are going to have for dinner tonight. We’ve had our fill of (homemade) burgers, and I need to make dinner tonight!

So… what are you having for dinner tonight? :)

Since I’m asking you to share, I”ll share a couple of recipes that we’ve had the last week:

Mini Turkey Burgers
- really good!
Bow Tie Lemon Chicken - This is really good, but I scaled it down to a 2-serving recipe, and I started the chicken/sauce sooner than I should have. Next time we do this, we’re going to cube the chicken instead of leaving it in strips, and we’ll cook the pasta before we start the sauce, or just follow the 4-serving sauce recipe. :)

Okay, so the whole time I’ve been in CA is a long weekend, but yeah. LOL :)

Friday, we ended up going out for dinner because Joe was exhausted after working way more than he expected. We ended up going to Carrow’s, which is normally a pretty good restaurant, but I wasn’t impressed this time. I think I’ll stick with them for breakfast instead of real food. LOL :) On our way home, we checked the mail, and I had my 3rd piece of real mail at the new apt! :) The first was a card from Teresa, and the 2nd was an invite to Lizzy’s bday party! :)

This package held lots of goodness. An invite to Pie’s wedding, two cds (NOW WITH 100% MORE PLAYLISTS!! *lol*), which I haven’t had a chance to listen to yet (the new Fall Out Boy & the new The Academy Is…!!), a really cool pen & a purple calculator, and a cute little note! :)

I love mail. :)

Saturday was pretty much a lazy day. We really didn’t do anything, including getting dressed, until about 3pm. I love PJ days. LOL :) We were waiting for our couch and knew we weren’t going to be getting it until the 4pm-8pm window, so why bother doing anything? Joe played some video game, and I watched and knit. We live very exciting lives, seriously. You know you’re jealous. :) hehe

Sunday, we ended up going to see Pirates 3. It wasn’t bad, but I was hoping it would have been a lot better, so I was kind of disappointed. Another instance where the 1st is still the best. :) And I love Johnny Depp, so.. that’s cool. :)

By the way, the movie theater out here is insane. Matinee price is $8, and normally most places I’ve ever lived consider matinee to be until at least 5 or 6pm… no, here, matinee ends at 2pm. TWO PM!? lol and then it goes up to $10.50. Is that not insane??? We tried to get the 1:55 show, but the kiosk wouldn’t let me buy those tickets (the line was super long, so Joe stood in line at the box office & I stood in the shorter line at the kiosk, so we had a better chance of getting tickets! lol), so we had to see the 3:05 showing. We had time to kill, so we went to Fuddrucker’s for lunch.

After the the movie, we came home and sat on our couch. LOL :)

Monday, we didn’t do much. We ventured out to Applebee’s, and then Best Buy, and that was it. I finished a pair of socks yesterday and wore ‘em all day. They’re so pretty. :D

Anklets

The place is a little more photographic now, so I may post some pics soon.

In case you were wondering, I’m in love w/ this layout. :)

hellolovely –
[adjective]:

Tastes like fried chicken

“hellolovely” apparently means “tastes like FRIED chicken”! :) lol.

Okay, that was stupid, but whatever. :)

We’re getting our couch today, and I cannot WAIT. Finally, we’ll have something to sit on that isn’t the floor or his uncomfy dining chairs. lol. :)

I think we’re going to go see Pirates tomorrow, too, so that should be lots of fun. :)

Manda Bear –
[noun]:

An immortal

(That’s what I’m talkin’ about… you’re never getting rid of me! muhaha)

For Teresa…

Teresa wants stories. Teresa seems to think something interesting is going on. LOL :)

We got here Tuesday night. Wednesday, we didn’t do much of anything..and then went shopping for stuff for the apt. Thursday was more of the same, as was Friday. Saturday, was a bit more interesting.

Saturday, we took BART down to the stop at The Embarcadero. We got off the train and walked down Market Street so I could see places that would be familiar to me. Then we walked all over what seemed to be the entire planet (or the planet as far as San Francisco is concerned.. hehe) and made our way thru North Beach and Chinatown, and then we made our way back to the BART station.

Chinatown

Chinatown was interesting. Lots and lots of people. It was kind of like walking around Walmart, especially on the weekend… everyone doing their own thing, nobody paying attention (including me at one point. I ran into a lady and almost knocked her town. oops), everyone in the way. I took a few pics in Chinatown, including the resident WaMu. lol :)

Also, you can get Lipo in Chinatown!! (lol.. actually, I think it’s a bar or something, but it made me giggle.)

Chinatown

Sunday, we did nothing except put together a bookshelf. I was sick on Monday, sick on Tuesday, much better yesterday, and I think I’m better today, but I”m still stuffed up.

So there you go, that’s what’s going on. :)
I’ve also been trying to clean the apartment so I can take pics for everyone. The living room is almost done. :)

So, yesterday, I woke up with a tickle in my ear/throat. A sure sign that I’m about to get a sore throat.

Went to bed last night, and now I’m awake and sick. I ache, but I have some meds and some juice, and I’m planning on being a bum all day today. I have to pick Joe up from work today (I probably could’ve let him go on his own, but I wanted to get to the store to get meds and juice), so other than that, I’m going to either be in bed all day or knitting all day. Oh, or maybe both.

Miss you guys. :)

Also, good thoughts to Dina’s grandmother, and to my friend Liz, who are having surgeries today.
