hello, lovely

I’m home! Well, I’ve been home - but I’ve been ignoring the blog.
We got home Friday night, and we went unexpectedly Christmas shopping on Saturday (got almost everyone done on Saturday!), then we went to Best Buy in Fairfield to pick up DDR for the Wii (early Christmas present to ourselves, lol), where I picked up the last thing I needed for Christmas, and now I’m done. Well, I decided to get a couple extra things, but I’m going to have to get those in a bit.

I leave for work in approximately 4 minutes, and I’m super glad Mondays are normally not crazy. Here’s hoping that it’s not too terrible today. I’m bringing lots of knitting, so this means that I probably won’t have time to do any of it.

I’ll probably post pics tonight. Still need to upload them … all I really took pics of were at the Arboretum, which we finally went to the Monday after we arrived.

It was good to see everyone. I miss you!

Coming off an awesome game yesterday (Stars vs Ducks w/ a score of 5-0!!), my team did NOT fail to disappoint!! I got to witness Modano tie for the Most Points by an American Born Player and SCORE the Most Points by an American Born Player. It was awesome.

The best part though, aside from the winning, is that we were SIX ROWS AWAY FROM THE GLASS. I was like, TWENTY FEET AWAY from hockey players!!!

Also, Joe Thornton is HUGE!! I knew he was a big guy, but I didn’t REALIZE how HUGE he is!! He’s like a million feet tall!!

Anyway, it was awesome. Kinda weird being in the “minority” but it was still cool. I have to say that I got a REAL kick out of people seeing my jersey after the game and yelling “DALLAS SUCKS!” If they suck, why’d they win? (because it was my BIRTHDAY (present)!! lol)

It was awesome and I soooo want to go again!! Thanks, Joe, for the awesome birthday present!!! Thanks, Stars, for winning!!

WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

As the other half of my birthday present (I’m telling you.. I’m going to be celebrating my birthday for the whole month of November. LOL), Joe and I are hauling ass to the HP Pavilion after work today to go see the Dallas Stars play the San Jose Sharks. I’m going to be one of the few Stars fans in the crowd, and that’s going to be weird for me, but hells yeah it’s going to rule!!!

I. Can’t. Wait!!!!!

Even if you’re not a fan of the Stars, please do me a favor and hope they win this one so my birthday present doesn’t SUCK!

(Did I mention it’s 11 days until I get home????)
