If today was a normal Thursday, I would be leaving for work right now. I would work all day, and then I would either pick Joe up from work or I would go straight to The Rose to meet with my knitting buddies.

Thankfully, today is NOT a normal Thursday! :) I stayed up REALLY LATE last night, and I woke up pretty much at the same time that I would have woken up on a normal Thursday, BUT.. I am still in my PJs and unshowered (am fixing this as soon as I post this).

THIS Thursday, I will get to leave around 2pm-ish to go to Santa Clara for a couple of days. Santa Clara sounds like it’s very far away, but it’s like… half an hour. LOL. Why am I going to Santa Clara for a couple of days? For a knitterly event known as STITCHES WEST!

It’s yarn, it’s classes, it’s yarn, it’s what I believe is the biggest knitting thing to hit the West Coast, and it happens every year. I went last year for a day to go shopping, but this year will be a bit different. I’m taking a class.. one of my friends has a booth, and I get to help her sell her wares, and it’s going to be, in a word, AWESOME! :D

Things around here will be very quiet, not that that’s much of a shocker, but yeah. Just FYI. I thought about taking the computer, and I still might, but who knows. If nothing else, I’ll be updating facebook or something like that from my phone.

*EEK!!!* :)

I’m watching the Presidential Address to Congress, and I think it needs to be a drinking game.

THE RULES:
Everytime the president says something and everyone stands up and claps, you have to take a drink.

You’ll be drunk in 0.4283 seconds. LOL

We just had a knock on our door from a door-to-door sales person trying to sell us “Go Green” products. AT 8:30 AT NIGHT! WTF?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this book. I loved it as much, if not more, than Sarah Addison Allen’s last book, Garden Spells.

It was magical. This is not a sequel to Garden Spells, but it has the same feel to it. Different characters and different stories, but there are many similarities. I love seeing Josey, the main character, come into her own, but my favorite part is actually about one of the “supporting” characters, Chloe. She has a very special relationship with books in that if she ever needs one (or if they think they need her), the perfect volume appears out of nowhere.

5 out of 5 stars. It’s fluffy, and cute, and it was a very enjoyable (and quick! I read 3/4 of it today!) read. You really need to read it for yourself, and if you read and loved Garden Spells, I think you’ll really enjoy this book. This is a keeper!
